Planting Instructions

Soil Preparation:
Prepare your growing bed by incorporating plenty of compost and a slow-release fertilizer suitable for flowers, such as 5:1:5 (SR). (SR = Slow Release) This fertilizer is available for purchase on our web shop.
Germination and Planting Instructions:
1.    Before planting, soak the corms for 6–8 hours in room-temperature water.
2.    Allow water to gently drip over the corms to supply oxygen. For large quantities, place the corms in a bucket and use a fish pump at the bottom to aerate them.
3.    Plant the corms directly in the soil, covering them with only 1–2 cm of soil. (Planting too deep may hinder growth.)
4.    Space corms 15–20 cm apart.
5.    After planting, water thoroughly, ensuring moisture penetrates to a depth of 30 cm.
Important: Keep the soil moist but not waterlogged until germination occurs (typically 2–4 weeks). Extended dry periods can significantly reduce germination success.
